The man who loves God is known by God

The man who loves God is known by God

1 Cor 8:3

But whoever loves God is known by God.

Jer 1:5

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you,
    before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Rom 8:29

29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first born among many brothers and sisters.

Gal 4:9

But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces[d]? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift

2 Cor 9:15

15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Rom 5:15, 16

15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!

16 Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification.

Acts 15:11

11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift Jesus Christ through whom we are redeemed

2)  God’s grace and gift came through Jesus Christ, overflowing to many for their redemption

3)   We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.

We were bought at a price and are to honor God with our bodies

 1 Cor 6:20

20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

the people of your inheritance, whom you redeemed—
    Mount Zion, where you dwelt.

Mt 20:28

28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Acts 20:28

28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God,[a] which he bought with his own blood.[b]

1 Cor 7:23

23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. 24 Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.

Rev 5:9

And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
    and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.

He who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit

He who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit

1 Cor 6:17

17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

John 17:21-23

20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Rom 8:9-11

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life[d] because of righteousness.

11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of[e] his Spirit who lives in you.

Gal 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  He who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit

2)  Jesus loved us as Father loved Him

3)  If Christ is in us, then even though our body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness

4)   If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in us, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in us

5)  We have been crucified with Christ and no longer live, but Christ lives in us.

6)  We live by faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us.

By His power God raised the Lord from the dead and He will raise us also

By His power God raised the Lord from the dead and He will raise us also

1 Cor 6:14

14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.

 Rom 6:5

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

Eph 1:19, 20

18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

1 The 4:16

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the arch angel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  By His power God raised the Lord from the dead and He will raise us also

2)  For if we have been united with Him in a death like His, we will certainly also be united with Him in a resurrection like His

3)  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know
a)     the hope to which He has called you
b)    the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people
c)     and His incomparably great power for us who believe

4)   That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the arch angel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

The Lord’s people will judge the world

The Lord’s people will judge the world

1 Cor 6:2

do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?

Mt 19:28

28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Luke 22:30

28 You are those who have stood by me in my trials.29 And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, 30 so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

1 Cor 5:12

12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  The Lord’s people will judge the world

2)  Those who followed Jesus will also sit with Him judging others

3)  Those who stood by Jesus in His trials will sit on the thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel

4)  We are to correct those who are inside the church
