We will receive our reward for what we do to build kingdom of God

We will receive our reward for what we do to build kingdom of God

1 Cor 3:8, 14

8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.

12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.

Psalm 18:20

20 The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness;
according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.

Psalm 62:12

11 One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard:
“Power belongs to you, God, 12  and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”

Mt 25:21

20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’

God makes us grow in Him

God makes us grow in Him

1)    God makes us grow in Him (1 Cor 3: 6)
6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

2)    God gave us a new heart (Ezek 11.19)

19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

3)    Our position in Christ is perfect: we have righteousness from God (Rom 1:17).
4)
17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[e] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.

5)    We are complete in Christ (Col 2:10).
9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

6)    We have all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Pet 1:3).
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

7)    We have all spiritual blessings in Christ (Eph 1:3).
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Jealousy and quarreling among us shows that we are worldly

1 Cor  3:3
3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly?

Rom 13:13

13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

1 Cor 1:11

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,[a] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11 My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.

Gal 5:20

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Eph 3:3, 5

Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, 3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. 4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.
