How pleasant and fitting is to praise the Lord

Psalm 147:1(How pleasant and fitting is to praise the Lord)
            1 Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, 
   how pleasant and fitting to praise him!

Psalm 33:1(It is fitting for the upright to praise and sing joyfully to the LORD)
            1 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.

Psalm 5:11(Those who take refuge in God will ever sing for joy)
            11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. 
Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

Psalm 101:1(we will sing of God’s love and justice)
            1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, LORD, I will sing praise.

Psalm 51:14(Our tongue will sing of God’s righteousness)
            14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, 
   and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

Psalm 89:1(we will sing of God’s great love forever)
            1 I will sing of the LORD’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

The Lord sustains the fatherless and the widow

Psalm 146:9(The Lord sustains the fatherless and the widow)
            9 The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, 
   but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

Psalm 10:18(LORD hears the afflicted defending the fatherless and the oppressed)
            17 You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, 18 defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals 
   will never again strike terror.

Ex 22:22(Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless)
             22 “Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless.

Deut 24:17(Do not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless of justice)
            17 Do not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge.

Eze 22:7(Do not mistreat the fatherless and the widow)
            7 In you they have treated father and mother with contempt; in you they have oppressed the foreigner and mistreated the fatherless and the widow.

            10 Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless,

Psalm 82:3(Defend the weak and the fatherless)
            3 Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

The Lord gives sight to the blind

Psalm 146:8(The Lord gives sight to the blind)
            8 the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, 
   the LORD loves the righteous.

Pro 20:12(Lord is our creator)
            12 Ears that hear and eyes that see— the LORD has made them both.

Isa 29:18(Those who are humble and needy will rejoice in the LORD)
            18 In that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll, and out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see. 19 Once more the humble will rejoice in the LORD; 
   the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. 

Isa 32:3(In the kingdom of righteousness the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed)
            3 Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.

Isa 35:5(When God comes to save us the eyes of the blind will be opened)
            5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. 

Isa 42:7, 18-19(God makes us a covenant for the people to open the eyes that are blind)
            6 “I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. 
I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, 7 to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison 
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.


 Mt 11:5(When good news is preached people were healed)
            4 Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: 5 The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy[b] are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)     The Lord gives sight to the blind

God remains faithful forever

Psalm 146:6
            6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth, 
   the sea, and everything in them— 
   he remains faithful forever.

Deut 7:9
            9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Psalm 18:25
            25 To the faithful you show yourself faithful, 
   to the blameless you show yourself blameless,

Psalm 108:4
            4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens; 
   your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Psalm 117:2
            2 For great is his love toward us,
   and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
   Praise the LORD.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)     God remains faithful forever
2)     Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
3)     God’s  faithfulness reaches to the skies
4)     Faithfulness of the LORD endures forever
We have to be faithful to the faithful God

   whose hope is in the LORD their God.

            9 For those who are evil will be destroyed, 
   but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

   for I have put my hope in your laws.

   blessed is the people whose God is the LORD.

            7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, 
   whose confidence is in him.

            20 The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
